Information submitted on this site will be managed by Consumer Protection throughout the consultation process. This site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse, and alteration of information under our control.

Privacy and confidentiality

Where you are asked for personal information via the online consultation form, this information will only be used for the purpose of conducting the consultation exercise and will not be used for any other purpose without your permission.

In a consultation, you may be offered the option to keep your response confidential. If your submission is published online, you will be given the option of withholding your name. Your other personal details, e.g. phone number, address will never be published.

No personally identifiable information is stored within cookies used by this website. No attempt will be made to identify anonymous users unless Consumer Protection is legally compelled to do so, such as an investigation where a law enforcement agency issues a warrant to inspect an internet service provider's log files.

Lawful purpose

You agree to use this site only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of, or restrict or inhibit the use and enjoyment of this site, by any third party. 
You must not post or transmit via this site any unlawful, defamatory, obscene, offensive or scandalous material, or any material that constitutes or encourages conduct that would contravene any Western Australian or Commonwealth law.
