Retirement village resident consultation - proposed conduct rules and budget obligations

Overview

The Retirement Villages Amendment Bill 2024 recently passed through Parliament.

Consumer Protection is consulting in stages on changes to the Retirement Villages Regulations 1992 that will support changes to the Act. The new regulations are expected to be in place in the second half of 2025.

We will be using short surveys to seek feedback from retirement village residents on various topics over the next 5 months.

Each survey should take about 5 minutes to complete.
